They’ve rolled out the final stages of improvements to over 50 miles of Wissahickon trails including the beloved Forbidden Drive. These improvements are through the Sustainable Trail Initiative. This initiative will bring added safety, sustainability, and financial benefits to the local trails.

Over $1 million will be spent on improvements to Forbidden Drive through this initiative, mainly to repair three specific areas affected by years of storm water erosion that have caused some of the banks to collapse. These projects will ensure the trail will be around for outdoor enthusiasts for several years to come.
