The transportation giants Uber and Lyft are doing their part to get people to the polls next month with free transportation to and from polling locations.

This is why Lyft and Uber are offering free and discounted rides to those who are unable to make it to the polls otherwise.

Lyft will discount rides by 50% for users on November 6 with the help of Vote.org, TurboVote, and Nonprofit Vote. Lyft will also provide free rides to the polls in low income areas where transportation is an obstacle.

Both ride apps will also provide unique features that will make it easy for voters to find the place where they’ll vote. By using Uber’s “get to the polls” feature, users will be able to find their polling locations with the touch of a button. Lyft will offer a similar feature to help determine your specific polling place.
