Why not make your life a little easier? These hacks will change how you celebrate the holidays this year and will make your holidays easier for years to come!

In a hurry and no gift wrap?- Use newsprint and cut strips of fabric for ribbon. To always be prepared, keep season neutral gift bags and wrap for year-round ease.
Tree too sparse?- Fill in a sparse artificial tree with garlands at the trunk to make it seem more full.
No time to bake cookies?- Instead of baking gingerbread or sugar cookies, use puffed rice cereal treats, cookie cutters, store-bought icing, and candies for a still memorable and equally delicious treat!
Make your tree even more magical- Place lights near the center of your tree for a “lit from within” look. Wrap the trunk with lights for a diffused glow.
To stay organized- Make a master list with each gift recipient, with potential gift ideas, and an estimated budget for their gift. This will help to ensure no one is missed.
Packing up the ornaments?- Store fragile ornaments in plastic cupcake clamshell containers or fruit cartons to keep them safe until next year.
Forget to chill the wine?- Dampen a paper towel and wrap it around the bottle. Stash it in the freezer for 15-20 minutes and you’re good to go!
Bake ahead- If you have a famous cookie recipe or casserole you make every year, consider cooking ahead and freezing. Doubling or tripling a batch of goodies will make things easier.
Gift wrap tubes are a gift after the holidays- That wrapping paper tube will come in handy when you pack up the lights. Cut a slit in one end to hold the plug, then wrap the lights around the tube. Create a second slit to hold the other plug end. You’ll thank yourself for using this hack when you unwind the non-tangled lights next year!
Trees deserve festive drinks too!- The citric acid in your lemon-lime soda is a great way to water your Christmas tree this year. It can help to keep your tree looking fresh for even longer.
